There is something terribly comforting in the idea of tanlines. Especially in the depths of winter, there’s nothing better than coming out of the shower and noticing that your body is still discolored with parts whiter and paler than others, even after over six months of actually acquiring those tanlines. It gives me a sliver of hope that this school year will soon be over, that summer is just around the corner, that these couple of months will pass just as quickly as the months since last summer have.
